Day by day, we get closer to opening. Who would have known all those years ago when we began planning this what we had in store? What I do know is I would do it all over again as my main goal in starting Goldspot with Matt was to secure my access to a large quantity of Matt’s beer. A very large quantity. A seemingly endless quantity. Perhaps even a plethora of it. What a nice coincidence that we also get to share it with you.
One of the most exciting things about Goldspot has been seeing the work of the talented individuals Matt and I have suckered into working on this project. Really, it all starts and ends with Matt. The man can make some beer. I am lucky to have a business partner/brewer who understands the technical aspects of brewing (what the hell is a Vorlauf?) along with possessing a great palate for identifying flavors, both desired and undesired, and designing superior beers. Next, we trusted our friend Josh to create a logo worthy of representing our dreams. I like to think we gave him a great deal of freedom in creating our logo and in return he crushed it. I love seeing what talented people can do when you stay out of their way.
Many hands have helped get us where we are and all are appreciated. My goal now is to keep you better informed of what is happening at Goldspot. We have some things lined up that I am really excited about and I hope you will join us. I want Goldspot to be a place you can come in and have something you love and try something you may have never tried before. Craft beer is a great thing.
Anyways, big thanks to our friends and family for getting us this far. You know who you are and there will always be an open seat and warm smile waiting for you at Goldspot.
